Alright, I am taking all of your advice, combining it into one. i'm going to disconnect the speedo cable, then on the other side, I'm going to disconnect all fuel lines. Hopefully then the ENTIRE Tank will completely come off. I will then change the spark plugs and heal the process. Tell me if there's anything I need to know!! Also, my toolkit/battery cover would not fit back on properly... couple weeks ago. So I shoved it on as far as it would go. The chrome cover seemed a little too narrow to fit the triangular top part of the connection. In any case, the cover fell off a couple days later when I was riding, and I didn't find out about it til the next day!! So now I have no chrome cover AND no toolkit. Any info on where I can get one? Anybody know of anyone parting out an 86 savage? Thanks!
